Radio Mobile - RF propagation simulation software

In this chapter, the primary settings are described. All these settings have to be configured in 'Tools > Internet':

Updates

Radio Mobile can check automatically for updates. If and where the check for updates can be configured in 'Tools > Internet: Web update'

It is recommended to check for updates regularly and do so on both websites.

Configuring Geodata sources

How Radio Mobile can handle the map sources and height data must be configured. Generally, Radio Mobile uses 3 modes:

  1. Use an internet source when data is not found on the local path
  2. Use an internet source when data is not found on the local path, and add data found on the internet to the local path.
  3. Only use local files.

The choice is yours on how to use Radio Mobile. Generally is recommended to store the data local, so in the case of a malfunction of internet access, you have the benefit of the local cached geodata.
