Radio Mobile - RF propagation simulation software

Radio Mobile can be used in combination with a GPS.

The purpose of the GPS implementation in Radio Mobile is to support a multi unit environment where each participating station, that is being studied, is broadcasting it's GPS position. All participating units can be operating other copies of Radio Mobile and do coverage studies for evaluation of their own radio coverage. In this dynamic environment radio coverage of the net of participating units can be overseen at the blink of an eye.

The GPS implementation in Radio Mobile is not suitable for collecting survey data in combination of a receiver.

To use GPS you need to open 'options > GPS'. there you can setup your mode of operation.

Using GPS you can:

  • connect a GPS using NMEA to your local com-port or a TCP client.
    • update a selected unit with this location information
    • log your position in to a file
  • Receive and send GPS information over a tcp/ip network using multicast
  • Replay your collected GPS track from file.
