The antenna pattern is a description of how the RF signal is radiating from the antenna. The antenna pattern is by default specified in the horizontal plane because this is the prominent and best understood part of the pattern. In adition the vertical plane can be described too.

If a non-directional antenna is used for a unit, the antenna will be pointed toward the original right unit position. This orientation can be modified with the antenna azimuth text box.
