Radio Mobile - RF propagation simulation software

The Cartasian export enables you to extract the result of a cartasian plot from radio Mobile and use it outside Radio Mobile. The file contains a list of points that cover the area of the active map window. The number of points depend on the pixel size that is set in the Combined Cartasian settings window.

The output, which is described in 'Cartasian Export file format' produces a matrix op points. Each point provides the RSSI relative to the receiver sensitivity from the receiving mobile. (See 'Systems' in 'Network settings')

The number of pixels in the Cartasian export is set by the pixel size or pixels per bin with respect to the size of the active map window.

If the active map window is 100x100 pixels and the pixel size in the cartasian coverage is 10 the number of points in the cartasian export is file is:

( mapwidth / pixelsize ) x ( mapheigth / pixelsize ) = number of points.

(100/10)x(100/10)=100 points.

A reduction of the pixel size bij 1/2 (from 10 to 5) wil increase the number of points by 4!

Analysis examples

The following images display a cartasian coverage plot using pixelsize of 20 pixels per bin:

Combined Cartasian coverage of a Transmitter.

Here the pixel size is set to 20 pixels.

The image is 1002 x 921 pixels which is wide 8,16 Km height 7,5 Km.
The output of the Cartasian Coverage results in a matix of 50 x 46 pixels.
When the RSSI values are displayed as a color a similar RSSI pattern can be regognised to the initial analysis in Radio Mobile.

The following images display a cartasian coverage plot using pixelsize of 40 pixels:

Here the pixel size is set to 40 pixels.

The image is 1002 x 921 pixels which is wide 8,16 Km height 7,5 Km.
The output of the Cartasian Coverage results in a matix of 25 x 23 pixels
When the RSSI values are displayed as a color a similar RSSI pattern can be regognised to the initial analysis in Radio Mobile.

Compared to the first analysis (20 pixels per bin) the resoltion is reduced by 4.
